With the holidays upon us, I thought I would share a few ideas of gifts to give to flower lovers – gifts for friends or gifts to yourself! A petite list with seven gifts listed, and all seven are from small business owners. Supporting small businesses, fellow florists, and fellow creatives is extremely important to me and always has been a driving force behind hosting this blog. I have seen, experienced and enjoyed everything I’m sharing here – all well-crafted and of high quality.
GRACE ROSE FARM
Our friends at Grace Rose Farm have released a beautiful gift set called Garden Of Grace, the set includes a candle, perfume and rose water. The gift box is as beautiful as the contents! Heavenly scented garden roses were used to create the products. The perfect ultra feminine gift if you’d like to ship one to a friend! Use the coupon code: Grace25 for 25% off!
Where to even start with what my incredibly talented friend Georgianna Lane has available – looking for stationary? wall art prints? books? She has it all – and it’s all gorgeous! Shown above is one of the prints she has available – dahlias & Paris! Oh, and if you get her book on Dahlias be sure to look up Tartan – those are my precious home-grown stunners! Georgianna has seven books available; the Cities in Bloom trilogy and four titles in the Beautiful Varieties Floral Series.
If you’ve been visiting us here at flirty fleurs for awhile, no doubt you’ve come across the multiple shares by our dear friend, Alison Ellis. Alison has now released her first book! Falling into Flowers: A Step-By-step Guide to Today’s Modern Wedding Business. I just received my copy today and I can hardly wait to dive in and read Alison’s sage business advice! You can order a copy of Alison’s book here.
CULTIVATED BY CHRISTIN
oh my gosh .. if you are into puzzles you must order Christin’s puzzle, also a perfect gift to give! Most definitely a great project to work on as we continue to face Covid stay-at-home restrictions. I’ll tell ya, working on this puzzle is keeping my brain focused and away from news and social media outlets. My husband is also really enjoying working on the puzzle and we tend to get quite into working on it together after dinner every evening. I won’t lie .. It’s an intense puzzle with 1,000 pieces!!
These Boots! I’m about to gush .. about boots! The kind people at MERRY PEOPLE reached out to me to see if I’d try out a pair of their boots during my gardening adventures, waterproof boots obviously come in very hand here in Washington State. I’ve put these boots to the test this past fall, wore them during the annual dahlia dig up day amongst other gardening adventures. I’m pleased to share they kept my feet warm and dry during all my gardening adventures. The thick sole kept my feet off the cold ground preventing that “too the bones chill” I’ve often encountered during fall gardening. I selected the BOBBI RAIN BOOT // ALPINE GREEN & BLACK and couldn’t be happier!

THE EARTH IN HER HANDS
Author Jennifer Jewell assembled this fascinating collection of 75 Extraordinary Women Working in the World of Plants. I am embarrassed to admit this, it had been years since I last read a book from cover-to-cover. No particular reason, I just hadn’t set aside the time to sit and read (ie – wasted too much time on social media). I picked up this book at the amazing garden store Ravenna Gardens and said to myself – I’m reading this whole book … and I did, and I wondered why I had ever given up reading books. The stories of 75 amazing women in the world of plants, I could barely put it down. Seriously – get this book, read it, it’s packed full of so much information and inspiration. Published by Timber Press, you can order a copy here.
I hope you all enjoyed this post on fun flower gift ideas for yourself and for your friends! I had fun putting it together! Happy Holidays!
In case you are wondering, no, this is not a paid advertisement and no, I am not receiving compensation for listing these items. Purely a list I pulled together for the fun and enjoyment of supporting fellow creatives during the holiday season.
